2 Corinthians 3:9
9: If the old covenant, which brings condemnation, was glorious, how much more glorious is the new covenant, which makes us right with God!
Hebrews 12:18
- You have not come to a physical mountain, to a place of flaming fire, darkness, gloom, and whirlwind, as the Israelites did at Mount Sinai when God gave them his laws.
- For they heard an awesome trumpet blast and a voice with a message so terrible that they begged God to stop speaking.

- Moses himself was so frightened at the sight that he said, "I am terrified and trembling."
2 Corinthians 5:21

Romans 3:21

- Yes, Adam's one sin brought condemnation upon everyone, but Christ's one act of righteousness makes all people right in God's sight and gives them life.
- Because one person disobeyed God, many people became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many people will be made right in God's sight.
Philippians 3:9
- and become one with him. I no longer count on my own goodness or my ability to obey God's law, but I trust Christ to save me. For God's way of making us right with himself depends on faith.
Isaiah 46:13
- For I am ready to set things right, not in the distant future, but right now! I am ready to save Jerusalem and give my glory to Israel.

- But the way of getting right with God through faith says, "You don't need to go to heaven" (to find Christ and bring him down to help you).
- And it says, "You don't need to go to the place of the dead" (to bring Christ back to life again).

- This letter is from Simon Peter, a slave and apostle of Jesus Christ. I am writing to all of you who share the same precious faith we have, faith given to us by Jesus Christ, our God and Savior, who makes us right with God.
Galatians 5:4
- For if you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law, you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God's grace.
- But we who live by the Spirit eagerly wait to receive everything promised to us who are right with God through faith.
Romans 4:11
- The circumcision ceremony was a sign that Abraham already had faith and that God had already accepted him and declared him to be righteous--even before he was circumcised. So Abraham is the spiritual father of those who have faith but have not been circumcised. They are made right with God by faith.
Galatians 3:10
- But those who depend on the law to make them right with God are under his curse, for the Scriptures say, "Cursed is everyone who does not observe and obey all these commands that are written in God's Book of the Law."
2 Corinthians 3:6
- He is the one who has enabled us to represent his new covenant. This is a covenant, not of written laws, but of the Spirit. The old way ends in death; in the new way, the Holy Spirit gives life.
- That old system of law etched in stone led to death, yet it began with such glory that the people of Israel could not bear to look at Moses' face. For his face shone with the glory of God, even though the brightness was already fading away.
1 Corinthians 15:41
- The sun has one kind of glory, while the moon and stars each have another kind. And even the stars differ from each other in their beauty and brightness.
Romans 1:17
- This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, "It is through faith that a righteous person has life."
- But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who push the truth away from themselves.

- In fact, that first glory was not glorious at all compared with the overwhelming glory of the new covenant.
- So if the old covenant, which has been set aside, was full of glory, then the new covenant, which remains forever, has far greater glory.
Exodus 19:12
- Set boundary lines that the people may not pass. Warn them, `Be careful! Do not go up on the mountain or even touch its boundaries. Those who do will certainly die!
- Any people or animals that cross the boundary must be stoned to death or shot with arrows. They must not be touched by human hands.' The people must stay away from the mountain until they hear one long blast from the ram's horn. Then they must gather at the foot of the mountain."
- So Moses went down to the people. He purified them for worship and had them wash their clothing.
- He told them, "Get ready for an important event two days from now. And until then, abstain from having sexual intercourse."
- On the morning of the third day, there was a powerful thunder and lightning storm, and a dense cloud came down upon the mountain. There was a long, loud blast from a ram's horn, and all the people trembled.
Exodus 20:18
- When the people heard the thunder and the loud blast of the horn, and when they saw the lightning and the smoke billowing from the mountain, they stood at a distance, trembling with fear.
- And they said to Moses, "You tell us what God says, and we will listen. But don't let God speak directly to us. If he does, we will die!"
Romans 8:3
- The law of Moses could not save us, because of our sinful nature. But God put into effect a different plan to save us. He sent his own Son in a human body like ours, except that ours are sinful. God destroyed sin's control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins.
- He did this so that the requirement of the law would be fully accomplished for us who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit.
Hebrews 3:5
- Moses was certainly faithful in God's house, but only as a servant. His work was an illustration of the truths God would reveal later.
- But Christ, the faithful Son, was in charge of the entire household. And we are God's household, if we keep up our courage and remain confident in our hope in Christ.
